What's Fixed in Pro Tools TDM 6.9.2cs2?
Pro Tools TDM 6.9.2cs2 for Mac OS X 10.4 contains the following:
Fixed: CoreAudio Did Not Function Properly With Many Third-Party Applications (Item #63500)
- QuickTime, Jam, Safari, iMovie and other applications were affected.
Fixed: QuickTime Picture Was Sluggish When Using CoreAudio Drivers (Item #63831)
- QuickTime picture could stutter, and slow down when outputting audio via the Digidesign CoreAudio driver.
Fixed: Reduced Track Counts In Record On Any Hard Drive (Items #49090 and #53842)
- Disk activity was too high during record passes, and could result in -9073 errors.
Fixes Included from Pro Tools TDM 6.9.2cs1:
Fixed: External Time Code Offsets Were Not Being Added To Auto-Edit Times (Item #62239)
- When using MachineControl with an External Time Code offset (in the fields labeled 'Session Start Offsets' located in the Session Setup window), Pro Tools did not take the offset into account when performing an auto-edit on the 9-pin device.
Fixed: Scrubbing or Shuttling a 9-Pin Device Did Not Smoothly Update the 9-Pin Device (Item #51198)
- This was the case when using either the control surface jog wheel or the 'Shuttle' Numeric Keypad Mode.
Fixed: Playback Scrolling Did Not Update Reliably to the Incoming Time Code Position (Item #58665)
- If a selection had been made on a playlist at a timeline position after the incoming time code, the screen would not properly scroll to the time code location.
Fixed: Legacy Peripherals Attached to a 192 I/O or a 96 I/O (with Firmware Version 4.3) Would Exhibit Incorrect Gain at Their Inputs (Item # 59048)
- If you have a 192 I/O or 96 I/O, and the interface firmware version is 4.3, you need to run the DigiTest firmware updater. If your 192 I/O or 96 I/O has firmware version 3.0, incorrect input gain on legacy peripherals will not occur, and you will not be able to update the firmware. This does not apply to the 96i, which does not have a legacy port.
To verify and update the firmware version:
- Launch the DigiTest application
- Click on the Firmware tab
- Make sure the peripheral information for the appropriate card slot is being displayed, and press 'Rescan' if necessary
- Do one of the following:
- If the firmware version in the selected peripheral is 4.3, lower the gain on your audio monitors and press 'begin update.'
- If the firmware version is 3.0, you have the correct firmware and you do not need to do anything.
- If the firmware version is less than 3.0, update the firmware to version 3.0. (This is unrelated to the legacy peripheral bug.)
Fixed: The Pro Tools 6.9.2 Installer Did Not Update DigiTest Correctly (Item #63541)
- When updating from a previous version of Pro Tools, DigiTest was not being updated. This would result in a crash when launching DigiTest.
